Driving Under Influence (DUI) School

What Is DUI School?

Cornerstone Behavioral Health is pleased to offer a DUI School for adults who are seeking drug and alcohol education due to personal interest and/or as a result of a court order for a DUI offense and/or as required by the Department of Transportation. Cornerstone’s DUI School utilizes Hazelden’s “Who’s Driving” Curriculum. DUI School educates the individual about the issues and complications of driving under the influence. The school also provides a basic education of alcohol and drugs, related abuse issues, and high risk behaviors connected to drug and alcohol use.

Does This Meet First-Time Offender requirements?

Yes! The Cornerstone DUI School does meet all of Wyoming’s requirements for first-time DUI offenders.

Registration Requirements

  • Substance Abuse Evaluation and ASI have been completed and/or received by Cornerstone if attendance is required due to legal charges or court order
  • Payment for class has been paid in full.
  • All necessary paperwork has been completed, signed by client (and guardian, if applicable), and received by Cornerstone
  • Copy of any legal documents (such as a Court Order or paperwork from the Department of Transportation) as determined by Cornerstone have been received by Cornerstone

Requirements for Completion

Requirements for completion of the DUI School include but are not limited to: Attending for the duration of the School (for example, no admission after 8:00 a.m., no late admission after lunch); satisfactorily completing a post test as a measure of knowledge gained; and developing a satisfactory personal action plan identifying actions he/she will take to avoid future violations. The educator will determine if all requirements have been met. In addition, a letter will be sent to the referring agency (court, Wyoming Department of Transportation, etc.) to notify them of satisfactory completion of class as well as additional recommendations if applicable.

Staff Qualifications

The treatment staff at Cornerstone Behavioral Health includes psychologists who are licensed by the State of Wyoming Board of Psychology or psychological interns who are supervised by a licensed psychologist.
